Many will be protective of their clutch, but there are also certain individuals that retain their sweet nature. My female was actually very good during the whole maternal incubation process as I checked on the eggs daily.
Mine reacted differently this year. Foxy got mroe aggressive; hissed and tried to strike. Ginger did this also.. Bela got shy and tucked her head under herself.
It would help you to have a second person if you are inexperienced in removing the female. Whoever is more experienced with handling aggressive snakes can lift the girl off, while the other person makes sure that the eggs do Not tip or roll over. No one should have their hand in a direct line of the mom's head, or she can chomp you. Putting a small towel over her head should help.
