    new set up pictures....

after i got my new rack yesterday (from nsreptiles.com), me and the woman spent 5 hours rearranging our living room. it was time for a change and the new rack jumped started us. i thought i would post some pictures to show everyone my new rack (which i love) and the new set up.

here is the rack and my first ball python's tank.

this is the rack. the top is empty (for now) and the 1st tub in the middle i am using to control the thermostat.

    this is alfie's new home.

    sancho's new home.

Jovie's home. i removed her hid for the picture.

    fred's tank.

there is a table to the left of the rack where my crested gecko will be going.

    Re: new set up pictures....

the tubs came with it, i just told Casey (the guy who owns nsreptiles) i wanted 4 15 qt tubs and 1 32 qt tub. i put the holes in them my self.

so far so good, the only trouble i am having is with humidity, so i added more holes and tomorrow we'll see if that helped.

the rack is well built and it only cost me $140 because i picked it up at the taylor reptile show instead of shipping it, i think it's like $170 shipped.

    Re: new set up pictures....

the heating pretty good. i set the thermostat at 92 and bottom shelf sits at 87-89 and top shelf 91-92. so not to much of a difference. i pull the corns tubs out a little, so it is further away from the flex. this drops the temp a few degrees. it isn't enough heat from the flex to really to get the cool end up, but since my living room sits about 78-80 the cool end is a good 80-82 bottom and 83-85 top shelf.

what i was thinking of doing is putting a 3" piece down on the top shelf, so i can get that one a little hotter.

Looks good.. racks completely change (and improve!) the way that you keep snakes. I was so against them in the beginning; now I would never dream of going back to tanks. I am sure that you will love having a rack

    Re: new set up pictures....

with all your snakes i would hope you wouldn't want to keep them all in tanks haha. i only had three snakes when i decided to get a rack. and my girlfriend didn't want me to put our first snake fred in tub, so the rack was basically for 2 hatchling corn snakes. then i picked up a lil baby ball at the show i picked up the rack. so know i got 3 tubs with snakes in them... but the best part is, i got room for 2-3 more!!!!
