    Ginger after laying :)

I soaked her today, since she would not eat yesterday. She laid her eggs on Tuesday.
    A day at Jen's Spa:

All dried off: as you can see, she is very thin and empty now.. Hence me wanting to get a meal into her asap..

She looks like she need a meal but still looking good. The soap doesn't harm them?

    Re: Ginger after laying :)

I read about the after-lay bath on this site; can't dig up the original thread at the moment. It is similar to the soapy-water approach of treating for mites; the suds help to kill the mites in that case, and help to wash away the egg scent in this case. I rinsed her well afterwards before drying her; warm (not hot, nor cool) water is used.
My last female that laid, took food the next day; Ginger did not, so I decided to do this. I stripped her cage too and bleached it out, and will attempt a feed tomorrow.
