This is a question out to the breeders on here. I want another snake right now.
I want to know the 5 most affordable morphs right now (according to market price)
07 babies male or female (preferable)
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.

Re: Cheapest Morphs
Instead of cheapest (which only cheapens them), how about asking "most affordable"?
Sorry, I just cringe whenever anyone uses the word "cheap" when it has anything to do with ball pythons.

Re: Cheapest Morphs
This really is a bad question....as quality, sex and breeder reputation all play a BIG role.
For instance you can find pastels for $200 all they way up to $1500 +
Or you can buy HET somethings for $100
Not to mention you really get what you pay for.
I would easily pay more for a healthy, feeding, beautful, and a morph I wanted for a future breeding project from a reputable breeder anyday.
Cheapest isn't always the best way to go

Re: Cheapest Morphs
changed...looking for morphs not hets...not a big breeder but want a female just in case I change my mind in 2-3 years. Pretty sure the breeders on here are good quality.
my buddy just got a pastel...so looking for something different...but it all depends on price.

Re: Cheapest Morphs
Here's the thing with that.. I would just go to the classifieds and do your own research on this. Check out what YOU are interested in, and see what the prices lead you.
Cheap is relative... Quality isn't.

Cheapest morph: The Normal
If cost is an issue, why not stock up on several normy females? You could grow them for a few years whilst saving up for a morph.
-Jen. Back in the hobby after a hiatus!
Ball pythons:
0.1 normal; 1.1 albino. 1.0 pied; 0.1 het pied; 1.0 banana.

This is a great idea!
If you look around you will see a lot of uniqueness in normal females get a few and you will be head of the game down the road.

Re: Cheapest Morphs
Market value is all related to supply and demand...
Dominant and co-dominant morphs all have potential to fall in value each year due to the fact that you only need one to produce many more. The longer a co-dominant or dominant trait is produced, the more there will be each year, thus lowering their market value.
Recessive morphs will tend to hold their value longer due to the fact that it takes a longer amount of time to produce more.
Here's how I would rank market value of morphs from least expensive to most expensive:
1. Pastel
2. Yellow Belly
3. Mojave
4. Spider
5. Albino

Love the idea, but I can only get about one snake maybe 2 right now...space is an issue. and my apt. doesnt allow pets...so the less pets the less to hide.
Was looking through the FS/FT thread and not to many morphs except spiders and those were running for a good $1000. Only looked at people I have seen on the forums with good reputation there might be more out there but never bought online so trying to keep it safe.

Re: Cheapest Morphs
i would look into more of what you like, rather than what you can afford.
figure out what you like and make a plan and go for it. i think in the long run you will be happier
