Pictures to Help
Illustrate how baby Ball Pythons are housed by alot of breeders. This should help alot of the new owners with "never fed never shed" babies.
Tub is a 6qt, hide is a 4" ceramic saucer, bowl is just a small ramekin found at any garage sale for 25 cents(or 10 cents if they like you). Temps are 94/84 and humidity is 50-60. She seems like quite the happy little camper.

Everyone says how you need 2 hides, but i noticed in most rack pics and ones like this, there is only one hide, do you just take one out or?

A tub system is a rack is basically a large hide in a sense...as long as they are snug in their tub.
I have a bigger female who is in a 32qt tub without a hide...she has one of the best feeding responses of any in my collection. Most of my other snakes have one hide to make them feel more secure, and they also feed just wonderfully.

Re: Pictures to Help
Exactly, and this little one has already eaten for me twice, so no worries about her not feeling secure. I have tubs in my room that aren't in a rack, so they get 2 hides(unless they just don't care, then they get one). My racks are pretty dark at the back and my snakes are usually lounging halfway out of their hide or sitting next to it.

Re: Pictures to Help
We use basically the exact same setup as Becky. Shoebox Iris tub, ramekin water dish and small plastic bowl with an entrance hole melted in the roof. The babies love it and everyone of them eats like a little piggie.

Re: Pictures to Help
Just took a hammer and sharply hit the very outer edge. You get a nice semi-circle chip out of it that is perfect for an entrance. Just sand down the edges as they can sometimes be sharp. I like the ceramic hides when I can find them, the babies seem to like the weight.

Re: Pictures to Help
Haha, yes, but I sure can't convince a 2600g girl that she CANNOT fit underneath a 6" saucer... As much as she would like to try.
Wish I could find bigger ones, but I just get fun decorative bowls from the dollar store(Halloween-time has awesome decorative bowls-ex: purple with spiders on it). The big girls like those and their cat litter boxes.
