    went to expo.. am curious

I went to a local rep expo on saturday april 28. As I was walking around a saw a bp labeled 100% het for pied and it cost $100. looked to be an adult, although I didn't ask questions, was more into looking. what is the average price range for a 100% het pied bp? anywhere from hatchling, yearling and so on. If I come across something again, i just may invest in it, but I wanted to just check to make sure Im not over spending or underspending (if that makes sense). thanx everyone.

do you know if it was labeled a male or female? Male I could understand $100 bucks..however my female baby het pied was much more expensive than that

I've contacted a few breeders about their 100% HETs and was told it would cost me about $300. Usually things are cheaper at expos. Just, <obviously> be careful who're you're buying from and what it REALLY is that you're buying. Sure you already knew that, though.

thanx.. yeah thats what I was thinking too, that a female would be more money. Like I stated though, I didn't ask any questions, was more just looking around checking things out. first time going to this local show, so wanted to get a feel for the sellers and whats available. I'll be going again, but if I'm not pleased with what I see, I'll be ordering online from somebody reputable. I just know what I'm aiming for so that at least does narrow my search down, at least for now.

Re: went to expo.. am curious

I purchased a Pair of hets for $750 I was kind of scared at the fact that I was getting them so cheap. But to buy Hets you have to have confidence in the breeder. If you search on hets on the forums you will see alot of people say the same thing here. If hes a male pied thats a great price but if its a female You better make sure its what it is. Females go for around 800-1600, Males are usually $100-$500(ALSO DEPENDING ON WEIGHT AND AGE)

Is He a big time breeder? Or did he have a name that is not on the BOI? Do some research and do your homework and buy with confidence. Sometimes its a little reasuring to get some documentation proving the pied gene
