Will you guys take a look at my girl?

I have been looking at all of the different snakes and reading about all of the different morphs and genes and stuff, and wondered how my snake fit into the frame. I don't know anything of her background. As far as I know, she's completely normal. A normal mother and normal father. But I wondered if you all might take a look at her and let me know how she compares to some other normals out there. I've seen people post a picture and say it was a "normal" when to me it looked almost pastel. Obviously, I have some learning to do. So, I figured I might start with my own little girl. Whats good or bad about her? Teach me; impart your knowledge upon me. -lol- I really want to learn everything I can about BPs. ^_^

She's a beautiful girl When you look at her all that matters is that you see somthing special...yeah she is a normal...but each one is amazing to someone...

Thanks guys, but I know she's normal. I just wanted to know if she had nice markings, bad markings, and why. That kind of stuff. I'm trying to figure out what kinds of markings and colors make a certain type, that type. (If you know what I mean). Basically, can someone teach me how to pick out a nice normal?

Everyone like's a diffrent type...some like reduced pattern while others dont...some like the stripe and some dont...some like darker ones and some favor the lighter...it all depends on what YOU find to be attractive and what you decide is beautiful

Nice normals depend on whoever is looking. Some people like a very reduced pattern (basically where the alien heads dont have eyes, and a lot of times the heads will form together to give it a Long alien head) Here's a post I have about them when I found one at petco that I almost got but didn't due to well...it being a petco!

There's also some examples of other normals that are reduced pattern or "banded"

Then there's blushing and flames.

Personally the more blushing and flames a BP has, the more I adore it! Flames and blushing are almost the same thing, the only difference is placement. Blushing is on the back, flames come up the sides. here's a link to the hunters guide to yellow bellies. Yellow bellies look like normals with some small differences. But in the guide it shows exactly what flames and blushing is.

Last but not least what will help some, look at some of the other hunters guides. He shows how you can tell the difference between a couple different type of ball pythons, some of which are easily confused with normals.

Like I said, how pretty you think she is, depends on what you like. Some people like really wacky patterns and try and breed with other balls that have wacky patterns, some people like reduced and try and breed with other reduced. Some like a lot of spots, some dont. Just depends on what you like.

Haylee really what is "a nice normal" to one person might not be as appealing to another. It's that way even with the morphs really. For instance I love the light colored morphs and lighter colored normals, my husband likes bp's as dark as you can find them. So what he considers nice isn't personally as much to my tastes. Sometimes "nice" might be based on the snake's temperment. We have a female in our collection that is badly scarred from a previous owner, she's not specially marked/patterned either (though she does have a lovely faded head) but she's lovely tempered and for a large female BP, very very laid back. For me anyways, nice is just whatever is appealing or perhaps fits into a long term breeding plan.

my fiance and i have 2 normals and we each prefer a diff. one. my fave has darker markings and his is a lot lighter!
