Do not, I repeat, do not, be fooled by the cuteness. This is a mean little bugger and I've yet to be able to stick my hand in his tub. However, he just shed today and I still think he's absolutely gorgeous so I thought I'd share.
I am glad to see it is OK to be a little scared when handling a newcomer or aggressive pet snake. My BP has never struck at me but I do respect that he could at anytime but I will pull out his hide on feeding day and put him in the feeding enclosure and then back in his enclosure 20 30 mins after he eats. I even mistakenly picked him up to feed one day and realized his eyes were blue and gently replaced him and no strike. I have been researching RTBs and have seen babies and then a little larger and wondered what I would do if I got it home and then found out he was a nippy one.
