Shipping Snakes With Fedex. One Q?

All am all set to become a certified reptile shipper, passed the box test and now all I have to do it return the signed papers and I will be ready to start shipping. I found all the information on how to do this with daniel's thread on becoming fedex certified and I had one question. My fedex account representative said that the snakes could be shipped only to buisnesses and not to residents which I was aware, but the reptile shippers on here don't always ship to just buisnesses, correct? Daniel said in his thread that he would use a buisness name to ship to. Is that okay? Do they look into that? And what is a buisness anyways? Do they mean registered with the state and paying taxes? Cause in my fedex account I have used a company name that I made up but it's not registered with the state nor am I paying taxes on it. Could anyone give me a brief explanation of this? Thank you for any help!

I don't have a business, per se...Adam just sent me a ball python and it was sent to "Nathan Ledet Reptiles"...even tho I don't have a business that goes by that name, it's all you need in order for everything to go smooth...Just ship to "joe blow reptiles" whenever you ship and you should be fine.

If you have a signed waiver on file you can ship anywhere. I have even sent BP's to puerto rico. something to keep in mind when useing Fedex, there is no insurance and you need to be careful shipping under certain conditions(weather).

Ship anywhere as in only places? Or are you talking about shipping to a resindent?
