    Talking Q. and A.

*if this is in the wrong place please move it*

    Q. and A.

I figured this would be something fun to do.
Below are some questions about your past with reptiles,
future plans, and outside hobbies to name just a few.
A good way to answer is number your answers with the question number.
    *01. 20 years*
    Enjoy

    01. How long have you had reptiles?
    02. What was the first reptile you had as a pet?
    03. Was there a time in your life that you ever feared a reptile species? (if yes, what was it?)
    04. If you breed reptiles, what did you start breeding and what gave you the idea to breed in the first place?
    05. What is the typical amount of time you spend with your reptiles each day?.
    06. How many reptiles do you have and what species? (if over 100 just state the species)
    07. Did any of your reptiles change the mind of some one who hated the scaly kind?
    08. What are your hobbies outside of the reptile world?
    09. Do you have future plans with reptiles? (working at a zoo, pet store, breeding, ect...)
    10. Out of all your reptiles, do you have a favorite?
    11. Is there any critter out there that just gives you the creeps?
    12. For breeders: What is the most satisfying aspect of breeding reptiles?
    13. Do you have any other pets that are not of the reptilian nature?
    14. Do you have any reptiles or other pets that are set up in a realistic environment?
(any thing that is as close to there natural habitat in the wild)

    Re: Q. and A.

    Moved to general herp.

    01. well.. uh.. not sure really. I caught (and kept) my first toad (not a reptile, but still a herp) when I was a little girl.. not sure how little though.. lol 6 maybe? Then when I was 7 my dad brought home a snapping turtle that he found trying to cross the road. We kept him for a long time (we let him go again, but we didn't know that may not have been the best idea) I got my first snake when I was 8.

    2. already answered that.

    3. nope. When I was about 3 (yes I do remember this - clearly.) I was walking around the backyard with my dog, and we found a big garter snake. Now, I ran away to mom because that's what she told me to do when I saw a snake, but she knew it was a garter, and she let me go back out and see him. He was all coiled up, then he slithered off to the woods behind our house. I didn't stop thinking about it all day. lol

    4. not yet.. but giving it a shot this year. The excitement of seeing all those baby snakes is why I want to do it.. and hopefully starting a small business around it too.

    5. Well, I'm in the room with them for hours each day (they're in the computer room) but actually doing stuff with them? Some days not at all.. but several hours each week cleaning cages and feeding.

    7. yes. My first snake (corn snake) helped get my mom over her fear of snakes.

    8. By profession (but I enjoy it so I'll include it) I am a dog groomer. I'm also an artist/photographer, I ride horses, I love keeping plants, I love sports cars, (buying a corvette soon yay) I keep birds.. inverts.. fish.. lol. I play guitar and piano, and I like video games.

    9. Other than expanding my collection (when I move out) it's my dream to start my own zoo.. featuring many reptiles of course. lol

    Re: Q. and A.

    01. I've had reptiles as a child, and just recently gotten back into them.

    02. My first reptile was a iguana named Taz.

    03. Was there a time in your life that you ever feared a reptile species? I've never feared any type of reptile. I respect that some can injure me and know that most of the time, THEY are the ones who are scared.

    04. I don't breed reptiles, but I plan to in the future, starting with leos.

    05. I normally spend about an hour a day, more if its cleaning day.

    06. I have two reptiles. One snow corn and one hypo tangerine leo.

    07. I wouldn't say they have changed anyone's mind. My mom is less afraid of snakes now and actually asks me to take Zim out to show her. She still refuses to hold a snake.

    08. I like to read and do sudoku. I used to do color guard and winter guard (not the military kind) but now I'm out of highschool and can't do it anymore.

    09. I want to breed reptiles and hopefully work with animals in some way. I want to become a veterinarian and specialize in reptiles, birds, and smalll mammals.

    10. No, I love them both the same.

    11. I don't really care for any kind of spider. They don't really give me the creeps, but I don't plan on keeping one any time soon.

    12. Can't answer cause I don't breed reptiles.

    13. I have two cats (Tortoiseshell and Marbled Tabby). They are both nuts. I also have fish and several dogs.

    14. No.
    Under Construction.....
