I don't know how many of you remember the story about Gloria and the tragedy that happened at her rescue centre... but I emailed Roy for another update and here it is.

Hi Aleesha,

Gloria has fully recovered. She's doing real well, eating like crazy again. Sorry I haven't had time to update the web page on the tragedy. The 2 teens got off with just probation. Figures. But, we're gearing up for another snake season, and I think we're back on track pretty much.

How disgusting that they got only probation! Aside from the sad fact that apparently reptiles are not covered under animal protection laws in that state, and aside from the fact that most truly sick pyschopaths/serial killers start out by torturing/killing animals, what about the pure dollar cost to this rescue!!!! These punks don't even have to be responsible for that and walk with a slap on the hand and some probation? I sincerely hope it is more than that and both are mandated into some sort of therapy as well as financial responsibility for this gawd awful incident.
