They ought to have one about the honesty of age. I openly announce my age to anyone that gives a hoot. I figure I worked hard for every year of it. Those are earned years.

Many people tell me I should lie about my age since I look 5 - 10 yrs younger. It doesn't bother me at all.

About the age issue....I'm with you, hon...I earned my years, and get better with each one...so I'm never afraid to be open and honest about that, and truly have a hard time understanding why some are so afraid of that "number."

I'm almost that way about my weight...I can share it honestly if I feel its important to do so. Doesn't mean I don't wanna change it, but it IS "just a number." That realization, however, does not silence the voices in one's head that Joy spoke about so eloquently.

There's lots of great uplifting stuff on youtube. Just gotta look for it and ignore the rest. Joy's advice in the vid can be applied to anything we're self conscience about, I think. Love it.

You know, I was a lot more reluctant to share my age when I was younger. I figured people wouldn't take me or my opinions seriously if they knew I was under 21, so I let them assume I was older. Now, I couldn't care less and I don't expect that to change. Age is a badge of experience and nothing to be ashamed of!

LOL! I was at my Son's middle school a couple weeks ago volunteering for "Spring Picture Day" and I was there to help keep the kids in line and "in check" lol. Well...I was standing next to this boy who was WAY taller than me (most people are!) and when he got done getting his picture taken the photographer said to me "Ok Honey...your next." and I just looked around for a second to see WHO was next to me and I realized she was directing that towards ME! I was like..."uhmmm..no no no! I am not in Middle school! I am 33!!!" She could not believe it!

I have been carded more than enough times...but NEVER have been called a middle schooler! LOL!
