    Sex Determination

I've heard that on female ball pythons the anal spurs will recede into the body, and that is how you are able to determine the snake's gender. How long does it usually take for the spurs to disappear on a female?
Snakes.... Why'd it have to be snakes?

Spur length is not an accurate way of sexing snakes. It has been proved by members here. If you want a definite answer go to someone who knows how to properly probe or pop a snake.

I guess mine was "popped" to determine it was a male, and it was rather disturbing and gross....lol.
