Geck Basics
Sorry I'm to lazy to search. Also you people know whats up.
Crested and Leo Gecks the best starters? Temps? Humidity? Display reptiles? Stress factor? Price I should expect to pay for one shipped? Special food requirements?
Thanks.

Re: Geck Basics
A leo or crested are 2 of the best choices, also a african fat tail gecko would be a good choice to.
Temps: 88-91 in warm side for leos, cresteds I heard can be kept at room temps if its not to cold in the room, but im not all that familar with cresteds.
Hummidity: leos dont really need any, just have a humid hide for shedding. Cresteds however require higher hummidity, not sure the exact hummidity for them.
Both can be handled, I feel leos are better with handling but cresteds can be handled. Like any herp, young are going to be more nervous, jumpy, and sometimes nippy but most will calm down with gentle handling and age.
Food: leos eat cricks/mealies, cresteds can be fed a staple of that crested gecko diet stuff.
price: depends on morph,age,etc... normal leos you can generally get for $20-30, normal cresteds probly a little more.
hope that helps
