OH frustration... RANT

I am trying to sell my leopard geckos and my Male Ball Python. So I am really freaked out about shipping, so I chose the local route first put an ad in the paper. NOT A GOOD IDEA. I have turned down people left and right.

One lady didn't know the difference between a gecko and a leopard gecko. She was drunker than 700 indians. ( No offense to anyone thats indian, I am Indian myself)

This guy calls me last night asking about the BP. Asked how big they get. No big deal. Then he tells me he has a Red Tail Boa. Says she hasn't eaten in months, but theres been a huge rat running around in there for 3 DAYS. ALIVE.

Then the same guy asks about me about the geckos, says he wants them for his grandaughter. That she used to have a really fast little lizard. Then he tells me "BUt it wasn't fast enough for cat"

Whats wrong with people? Sorry for the rant but only other reptile people would understand.

Sorry your having such a rough time. While doing rescue work it seemed I interviewed an average of 20 people per dog we placed. You don't want to get something in a bad home. The sad thing is there are so few that I would call good homes. Good luck.

Wow I have to say your getting some winners. Good luck with the screening. People are much more frightening then animals, you know what animals are going to do.

Geez. All kind of goons read the classifieds. I once sold firewood for free(had FREE! In the ad) and I must've had 20 pickup trucks in my driveway that morning. :eek:

Girl I'm having the same exact problem right now trying to re home/sell my leo. I've gotten a few emails that I don't even know how to write back to.... because they are just out of this world crazy / bad.

I know, it sucks. IF I could ship my snake I would gladly GIVE him to anyone of you. I am not concerned about getting money for him as I am him going to someone who knows about his care.

They will all stay with me until I find them great homes. I just can't believe how many wierdos there are out there. I would just get a bad feeling about these people. I can totally tell that they think of these creatures as disposable pets.

I am asking pretty high prices too, but I am not unreasonable. If I find someone that has the experience and I have good feelings about I am more than willing to cut a deal.

Thanks, I will add them here too. I didn't even think about that. Main reason is its hard to find people locally. Being way up here in North Idaho lol. I will post them though and see what happens.
