    mouse genetics

alright, I decided to restart my mouse farm for my new bp and had a few questions concerning genetics seeing as I used to only breed albino's and now want to throw a little color in the mix to keep it interesting. It took me several trips to petco, and several shipments of theirs to kind some breeders that I found to be a bit interesting in color. I notice that y'all all know the names for the different patterns of mice/rats, I was hoping I'd get some help with their patterns and the possibilities of their offsping.

Initially my gf had named my three mice Barbie, Skipper and Ken; but Barbie has been renamed champagne due to her color. So here they are.

Ken: Brilliant metallic'ish ornage & white

    Skipper: Grey and white.

    Champagne: Silvery champagne color

You really never know, especially with the way mice are randomly bred. Who knows what genetics they may be carrying. I've had plain PEW's throw god knows what weird colored babies, so you've got me.

That male is a pretty satin fawn/white. I have a few babies like him, as well as some long-haired black/white satins. I'd really like some frizzies(had one but she had a weak immune system).

Sarah (SarahMB) is graciously letting me borrow her hairless mouse that mysteriously popped up in one of her litters. So we'll see what type of genetics that little female is carrying. Should be interesting!
