I had the same problem with my 20gal tank, had imcomplete sheds and constint struggle with humidity, when i switch to a tub i havent had a problem since. matter of fact she just shed for the first time since the switch and it was perfect. granted you lose the visual effect of the tank but the well being of the snake is in my opinion easier to mantain.

Tubs are awesome! I was once a diehard tank fan, but I use tubs in a rack now; in the past months, all of my snakes that shed in their tubs, had beautiful complete sheds; humidity retaining is a cinch in tubs.

If you're having difficulties with humidity in a 20 gallon tank, I would think you'd have the same problems with a larger one. How old is your snake? Even my largest females are in 41 quart tubs.

Once I switched to tubs, I've never looked back. Low maintenance in regards to keeping temps and humidity correct once you've gotten it set up.

well sounds like the tubs are the way to go, how do you guys go about heating your tubs because its prob difficult to use heat lamps correct? i have an under tank heater with a thermostat i could use, but will that keep the temps high enough without a heat lamp?

I was having the same problems with my glass cages. I tried putting a towel on top of the screen lid. It worked. It is breathable and helped with the humidity. It is a cheap fix.
