    expensive.....

i know this is a pretty stupid question to ask and i have a feeling i might start a controversy, but here goes....

lately i've been seeing prices for different morphs for different species of snakes.what i keep asking myself is, why are they expensive? i mean $500-$5,000 for a BP just because it has a different pattern on it's body?

again, im not looking to start another argument.

    Two reasons

1st: they are a novelty to collectors and hobbiest
2nd: Breeders pay big bucks to get the newest hottest thing and then breed them out. So they must make a profit to recover their investment.

It's the same for any piece of property. More Rare = More Expensive

i was thinking about what you all just said.i see that the ones that more "colorful" are harder to find and are therefore more expensive.

Also the harder to produce the more they cost you want find a pastel in the same price range as a Lav. Albino Pied or any other simple or double or triple recessive .
