    how can i tell a male ball from a female.i was told the spurs on a female are tucked right in,i piccked up an 04 yesterday and the spurs seem more prominent than my 10 mth old,i was also told males are more likely to go off food,my 10 mth not eaten in a monyh,my 04 refused food twice in 3 yrs,wot do u think

    Spurs are not an accurate way to determine sex. You need to take your snake to someone experienced in popping or probing, to get a definitive answer.

    I've also never heard of males being more likely to go off food. Definitely NOT in my experience. I think it sounds like you are getting some odd information. I'd advise you to use look around the bp general and husbandry forums. Maybe use the search function a bit to gather up some info as well. There's a ton of good stuff floating around and you can never have too much knowledge.
