yeah, he was out of his tub so I got to see it all as it happened

just a big white urate blob and about a half cup of liquid.

my poor nose almost jumped off my face and ran away

when I get an actual poop I may have to burn the house down and start over

just kidding. I love him but man I need to buy a big clothespin for my nose for next time

Hmmm... it's supposed to stink? Sammy's pooped only one since we've had him, which has been a month and only two feedings--he was in shed one week and refused to eat the other. And it really didn't stink that much.

Granted, I had a cold that made my head feel like someone had stuffed it full of tissues, so maybe that had something to do with it. That and the fact that I'm pretty accustomed to animal smells... but really, I didn't notice a foul smell at all. Should I have?

The poop, by the way, was black and furry and squishy, with a small pellet of urates accompanying it. That *is* poop, right?

I think urates smell WAY worse than snake poop. IMO. So you may be able to save the house.

Re: there's no delicate way to put this

A few years back, during a cross country move in the cab of a U-Haul,
My sweet and innocent little Loki couldn't wait till we hit a rest stop.
I remember looking around thinking one of the cats had done something, but
as I turned my head, the oh-so-unpleasant aroma hit my nose and I realized
I had to pull over as soon as possible!
At the time, Loki was only about 18 inches long, but I swear, the *poo* was 6 inches long, wet and hairy!

There was no serious damage to the U-Haul, but I did end up washing the cats!

a few years back i went to my vet to purchase some nolvsan/virosan and she said she now used a product she liked better,it's called A-33 DRY,it'a a detergent/disinfectant/odor counteractant.i really like the way it kills odor, spray about a foot away with a fine mist sprayer and the odor is instantly gone.with a 10 minute soak time it kills the aids virus yet is easy on the hands.also works well in the presence of organics.i'm sure most vets or hospital suppliers have it.have fun!

My corn snake took a huge dump on my brand new poker table that I just built the first night that we used it and it stunk so bad that my brother in law gagged. I was heads up against another player and had to stop to clean up snake poo.

Wait till you see and smell what a really big BCI can do...it would gag a maggot I swear! LOL The BPs aren't quite that smelly but I can walk into our snake room and know that somebody's been up to something smelly...kind of a "okay who did it now!" sort of thing.
