My boa was climbing a tree in his cage (which he always does without any problems) when his upper body slipped off. He was able to hang on but unfortunately his mouth banged into another tree. At first it looked bad with the snake unable to close his mouth on the right side. Now it is almost back to normal (it happened yesterday) except in the front you can see the mouth does not "seal" like it should...you can see where the tongue comes out (sorry, don't know the technical terms) at all times. He ate normally today without any problems. I am hoping it is just a little swollen??? I have never had any physical problems with any of my reptiles in the past so I don't know how they react to damage to their bodies. Should I take him to a reptile vet or wait it out since he is eating normally? Thanks in advance for any advice.......
