    dexter ate a rat!

i am so amazed. today i was getting ready to feed everyone and since my ratties are breeding, i want to do live feedings of them as much as possible... so i decided to try dexter with a rat. he's a mouse man and i wasn't sure if he would be willing to transfer to rats since the other 4 balls of mine are eating rats.

and... i put the rattie pup (3 weeks old) in with him and guess what? he took it down and ate it.

i'm sooooooo pleased. i thought IF i could get him transferred over it would be hard to do. but he took it no problem. of course, i did let him fast last week so he was hungry... and probably better prepared to accept a different prey item?

i hope all the subsequent feedings are as easy.

Congrats ... I hope he keeps it up for you.

That seems like it went pretty easy, and the week off probably
    helped!!!
