    Hiccups

last night I was looking at lilly ( my female baby ball) and her body would jump as if he had the hiccups. Thats the only way I can describe it, and then she made a sound I havnt heard from her, it sounded like someone twisted the cap off a bottle of pepsi. like a air relief sound...is this normal? it was exaclty a hiss either

My guess is that it was normal as long as shes not still doing it. Probably just some air backup inside of her.

    Re: Hiccups

    Provide some more info.

    Cage temps, humidity, etc.

Chances are, if it was an all of a sudden thing accompanied by a body movement it was a hiss.

Worst case scenario, you are hearing wheezing, indicative of an upper-respitory infection. Been seeing a lot of these threads lately because people don't keep their snakes warm enough through the winter.

    Re: Hiccups

Thats was I was thinking but I didnt want to admit it. I was home for christmas break and didnt trust leaving her with anyone else so I took her with me.....I did the best I could do set up wise the whole time I was home. She stayed in a 10 gallon tank ( just a baby) aspen bedding, log hide box, water bowl, and a lil zoo met UTH, and a heater by the side of the tank. The heater stayed high most of the time with temp around 85 90, but not very sure without the thermometer. But I kept her pretty warm. if anything it might have been to much. But she likes getting out so I would take her to get her food ( a pet store) and from the car to the store it was kind of cold, which I felt really bad but didnt think it would effect her health. I actually think she does have an infection because it sounds as if she realesing air...but I cant decided if its a hiss or an infection beause she had never hissed before.
