    help please.. feeding problem..

    ok i bought 1.1 bp's off a trusted friend who has tons of BPs and i havent been able to feed her in 6months that i owned her she tried a couple of weeks ago but wasnt able to catch the rat. she doesnt look at mice, i tried different sizes rats, mice, pre-killed, frozen, live, half alive rats and mice... still she hasnt eaten. ive tried covering the tank with a blanket, the humidity is good heat is good she has 2 hides.. any sugestions?

    How big are your snakes and what size prey are you trying to feed them?

    By good temp what do you mean what are they exactly?

    Are your 2 hides real tight with all the sides touching your BP’ body!

    How big is the enclosure?

    Did you try leaving the F/T overnight?

    Did you try to put some crumble newspaper in the enclosure for added security?

    What was she eating before you got her?

    sorry, shes ablout 3.5feet and weights 880g the rats i tried feeding were weeners, and small rats. mice were small med and large all stuff that my other smaller snakes would eat..

    she was eating small rats before.. here hides are tall but she fits tight on all sides.. temps around 90 on hot side with heatpad underneath.. cold side 75 i use a red heat light for source of heat..
    didnt try newspaper yet
    the male is eating just fine on a weekly basis.. the female isnt...
    tank is a 30gal

    Boom. Too cold. If they manage to hang out in a 75 degree area for any length of time, that will almost certainly kill their appetite. Bump that up to 82-84 and you should be happy with the results.

    Are the male and female living in the same enclosure? I'm not experienced enough to reach any conclusions if they are, but it may be useful information for someone with a little bit more experience.

    sweet.. thanks for the help ill post my outcome im gonna grab another heatlight and throw some newspaper in there..
    and nope the male and female are seperate as all my snakes are housed.. male is in a 10gal but hes about 500g and about 2.5feet
