Weight Concern
Well, I finally got my scales in, and got Siliast weighed. He was born in August, and it says he weighs 80 grams. Does that seem a little low to anyone else? He's a male that's shed twice and eats regularly, without problems. I've been feeding him fuzzies(the past two times, I've given him 3, no less).

Yeah, 80 grams seems very light to me. Are you feeding him fuzzy mice or fuzzy rats?
If he's on fuzzy mice, I would have moved him up early on to hoppers, then small mice and then medium by now.
Next feeding get him a hopper mouse, let him eat that for a couple weeks, then either move him up to a small or two hoppers, and so on.
Have you had him tested for internal parasites?

I'm pretty sure he's on fuzzy mice, not rats, but I could be wrong. I feed live, and unfortunately, the place I buy from, does not sell hoppers.
I haven't tested him because I bought him directly from a breeder. I wasn't aware he needed to be tested for them, under those circumstances.

Do you know if he is captive bred, or captive hatched?.
How many meals did he have with the breeder and with you?
Not being able to put on weight could be a sign of parasites and better be safe then sorry I would take him to a vet.

Captive hatched. Four feedings with his breeder(I have his card showing the dates), another 8 with me since then. He has missed a week or two here and there(due to shed and or inconvienances with money/timing), but not many. He seems to be completely healthy. I do not know his weight from when I first acquired him, unforunately--that is not on his card. I know he has certainly gained length and mass since I got him, though--I can look at him and tell. I will see what I can do about changing his diet into maybe a small rat and if I don't notice a change in weight, I'll take him to the vet immediately.
