letting them go (selling or adopting-out..)
I am in the process of homing-out a male BP that I took in from a friend of Mark's.. He was a rescue, in that this guy had way too many snakes, crammed into small cages.. so I got him stabilized, eating well, mite-free, and I have found a nice man from Buffalo who is adopting him for a reasonable adoption fee..
So why do I feel a little sad about it? I am just getting into selling bred animals; we went through something similar when selling our two horse foals last year. I know it is for the best, as I have no space permanently for him in my rack and will only build a new rack later if I get hatchlings I want to keep.. but I guess this is just a little type of "growing pain" you get when selling or rehoming any animal.. it doesn't make it easier though!
I know that it is for the best; in planning the rack, we did not know that we would buy this Spider we got so soon, so we are a slot short.. also, I would rather let him go now, than build up an attachment and have it tougher later on.

Re: letting them go (selling or adopting-out..)
I am usually at least a little sad about every animal I rehome or sell. I am usually worried they may not receive the proper care from their new owners, and I still can't bring myself to sell any of the babies I produced to a pet store.
