    White scales?

Vex developed some new white scales on top of her head after her last sheading. Ive never seen this happen before, and Im a little confused to what it means. She seems fine, normal behaviour and shes still eating. Ive checked her temps and humid, thats all normal. What does this mean?

It looks to me like it could be some scales that came off with the shed. If this is the case, she should be back to normal after her next shed. Not to worry.

I agree, looks like some scales got damaged while she was in blue or something...

    Re: White scales?

Almost looks like someone took an eraser to her head...could very well be damaged scales but in my experience the area always look more delineated. However the other people who said damaged scales are in a position to know!

I've seen pictures of mysterious -temporary- colour changes where a normal ball turns almost axanthic, the colour is washed out. Maybe it's the same thing, except just her head is affected.

So basically I have no idea, but it doesn't look dangerous, that's the important thing!
