    Giddy

Is it completely strange that I'm getting giddy over soldering holes in a Sterilite tub? I bought a cheap soldering iron today and just finished making the holes...I guess it could be the prospect of owning a BP. Or it could also be the plastic-melting fumes...

I'm thinking I'm going to wait until the beginning of February to buy my BP, but in the mean time, I'm getting everything ready. In a couple weeks, I'll order my Helix and Flexwatt from www.reptilebasics.com. And while I'm waiting for the cash to do that, I'm having the strangest urge to find some newspaper and line the tub...

I totally understand - it's just FUN getting your set up together - it's all part of the anticipation of getting ready for your new baby!

I'm the same way! I love soldering tubs....(and not just 'cause of the fumes! )....it just feels so good to be preparing for something so amazing as a snake!

I even had fun helping Ken (ddbjdealer) solder tubs for his collection!

    Re: Giddy

It might just be the fumes I know I get a bit giddy after soldering holes in 10 tubs *giggle*

But yes, I love that feeling too, of getting a new snake soon and having to get its home ready. It's such a fun thing!

Nah, it's definitely the fumes. I think we're all in the same boat. It's that new snake smell.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets all excited about soldering holes in a sterilite Though I find it veeery interesting that every single person who has responded in the affirmative "yes, I get that!" has been -female-, too.

We drill holes in our tubs, it works just as well, not hot plastic, no smell, not getting burned. Just a thought.

No fumes, none of those "OMG MELTING PLASTIC STICKS TO ME!" moments....well geeze...where's the fun in that!
