How should I enhance my site?

I was just wondering how my site should be enhanced. Right now it is plain. The home page is different from the others. They all will be on a white back ground eventually. Any ideas on how to make it not so plain?

For the collection page, make a seperate page for each type with a link to that page from a main one.

i.e. have a collection page, with a single picture of each morph. click it and it shows some info about the snakes, where they came from, history, blah blah blah. A lot of breeders have that.

When you share your info you use the term "we" and it reads as though you are a couple. I am assuming it's your mom and you?

In the interest of honesty, I believe it would be in your best interest to share more about yourself. Let your potential buyers know they are ordering snakes from a teenager. If they choose to support you, then great. But honestly, it would upset me greatly if I was doing a deal with someone and found out they were underage and they were not forthcoming with that info up front.

So adding something like: I've got my first snake when I was 13 and I was hooked. Now I'm 15 and with my Mom's full support and assistance, I'm breeding snakes.


Honesty is always is the best policy! I would think that would be very important to you considering what you've been through lately.

i agree with the last statement, yet again, you could loose a lot of business. And if your mom is legally responsible for everything, then just say that "my mother and i are in this business together" because, i dont know anything about you, but it sounds like you do the snake breeding and such and she just okays it. I mean, if people ask, dont lie, but i dont see a reason for you to put that on your site. you can say you have been doing it scince you were 13 though.
My suggestions:
Front/first Page: I would like the words Regal and Boids to be in gold better, i think that would be really cool. And for your message: just make it more personal, like read the FAQ on Adam's page, it is like he is talking to you, which in turn makes you seam more personable, and trust worthy, which will get you more business.

2nd page (about)- again, more personal/like you are talking to us would be great, it is not always about perfessionalism, some personalis helps too. Oh, and when you say at the end, "if you are looking for your next addiction", i would change that because most people associate an addiction with a bad thing, and you dont want people thinking that they are getting into something that they dont want to be into. They will find out on their own time that they are absolutley addicting. lol. but i love how you cite bp.net, it will give them some great pointers.

3rd page (terms)- great terms, you are managing it really well, i would not give you and your mothers first and last names though, if they are ordering from you, it will be discussed privately, but it is just not a safe thing to do online, especially if you are under 18.

4th page (contact)- lookin good. nothing to change that i can see

the only thing i would ad, which i love on other peoples pages (only some people have it on snake sites) are resources. If they are buying their first snake from you, you want to make sure that it is properly taken care of, so go ahead and put some links to sites that will share information, BP.net, care sheets, a link to a good tub to keep the snake in, a link to a good cage to keep the snake in, a link to heating accesories, things like that. I am getting my new snake, and if i were a first time buyer, i would want to see those things, if everything is layed out, it is soooo helpful.

And, i think that a black backround would be more sophisticated actually. I really like the look of a black backround.


I am just a perfectionist, so feel free to ignore some of my commentary. lol.
you have done a great job with the site!!! Congradulations on starting your own business, and if you stay in it for a long time, scince you are starting so young, you will go far, and have some awesome snakes!!

Thats the reason I act like I am 14 here because in real life I am like an adult, always actling like one talking like one..etc.

This forum could give you a portion of your sales of snakes if you get this business off the ground. The people here also frequent other forums and when it comes time for inquiries on you, you will not be getting good feedback. Act mature, be polite, and don't be so ready to refuse advice given.

yeah, i definatley see where you are coming from....i am saying it as a minor, and for business's sake, but it is not the most moral thing. and, honestly, even thoug i am 15, i would not buy from someone that is 15. lol. I know i have a lot to learn, and i would rather buy from somebody that is older and knows a lot more.

yeah, you are right, sorry, pieces of our convos will give andre an insight as to what people are looking for.
so yeah, for the both of you, just be professoinal, and she is right, make sure people know that you are very reliable, and that your mother is involved, but still only 15 years old.
