how long should I wait to hold my bp after feeding?

I have been told from 24-48 hours...but when is it necesarily considered safe for the ball python to be held without the problem of regurgitation. Just wondering... I know this has probably been asked before a bunch of times.

You can probably get away with safe handling if you wait a solid 24 hours, and the meal the snake ate was not particularly large. It's safest to give the snake a good 2 full days to digest, though, especially if the meal was larger than usual, or if the snake is stressed for any reason, or if his temps have been cooler than normal. Really, it's up to you and how careful you want to be.

EDIT: I always wait a full 48 hours, regardless.

Yeah, I usually wait 48 hours myself. BUt i have held my snakes before after a good 24 only for a breif moment though and I handled it carefully. Just wanted others opinions/knowledge/experience.
