Yes, there is a difference. It's easy to see in person. Lemons, have a clean yellow, white, and black color and pale eyes. They do not "brown out" since they have no orange that darkens with age, like a regular pastel.

So lemons are just really nice regular pastels, almost higher "grade"?

check out NERD's website and go to the pictures page. It has a good photo and description of them.

no,no,no, lemons are not just nice regular pastels.they are an early line of pastels developed by NERD. yes they can throw out some very nice clean yellow pastels and yes they can produce dirty ones just like all the other lines of pastels. you have to be very picky when choosing pastels and yes you can expect to pay more for quality pastels.

Nope. Unlike albino vs. lavendar albino, all traditional pastels are compatible ... "lemons" are a specific line of pastel ... they tend on average to throw nicer cleaner babies than a lot of other lines that grow into nice clean adults ... while ANY line of pastel (lemon, vpi, graziani, etc) can produce very nice animals and poo poo animals, in my collection my lemons seem to hold their color into adult hood far better than other lines that I keep.
