    OOPS marcus ingested jungle mix along with dinner

    yeah i have a question to anyone that has any knowledge similar to this. my snake marcus ate his fuzzy in less than than an hour ago. along with it was some attached jungle mix substrate made by esu reptile. the following ingred. are sterilized virgin organic soil,fine grain sand,vermiculite,peat moss,orchid bark and green tree moss. should i expect an Respiratory infection,suffocation,mouth rot, internal parasites,regurgitation,OR should i just relax and assume he ll be fine. he seems normal now. thanx for help.

    If it swallows substrate, the only thing that could happen would be that he would suffer an impaction. There's no way he could get an RI, suffocate, mouth rot, or internal parasites from that. How much did he swallow?

    P.S. I'm not sure about the regurgitation. Probably not, but you never know...

    In the future, you can lay down a sheet of newspaper on top of your loose substrate and then feed in the cage as usual.

    Or you can move Marcus to a seperate feeding container.
