Newbie- Feeding
Hi, I´m new at the forum and I was reading posts regarding feeding and I wondered if my feeding was ok, I have a sub-adult ball, around 35/40 inches, and I feed her a medium sized gerbil a week. I really get them cheap (cheaper that mice or rats) and Darwin seems to enjoy them, but I am not sure if I´m uder feeding her so, any suggestions are welcomed!!!

Sounds fine to me. I do hope your supply of inexpensive gerbils will always be there, though, because it may be really hard to get her to eat anything else at this point.

yeah you are right, but she ate mice before, so she might do it again I hope!
Thanks for the answer

Re: Newbie- Feeding
There was a discussion here: http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...hlight=gerbilson feeding gerbils and hamsters. After reading that, I would try to get him converted to rats or mice.
Welcome to the forum, by the way!

Re: Newbie- Feeding
gerbils and hamsters here are around 10 bucks a piece! no way they are getting in this house. my daughter's room is next to the snake room and she has a "chinchilla". i'm so paranoid that they will smell the chin and want it! lol
check out the caresheet on this site, alot of info. basically one good sized rodent, about the same girth as your snake or slightly larger, once a week is enough.
