    Exclamation Provent-a-mite suggestions?

I just purchased my first can of Provent-a-mite spray and I was wondering if anyone has any tips/tricks/suggestions on how to use it effectively. Obviously, I will follow the directions on the can, but I was hoping there are some tricks. Also, can I expect it to prevent mites for a full month as advertised? Thanks in advance to those who reply!

It's the best you can buy..IMO. I usually treat the substrate....saturate it (not wet though) let it dry completely, and then put back water bowl and snake. Whenever I get a new snake, I ALWAYS treat it's substrate while it's in quarantine, REGARDLESS of whether or not I see mites.Hey, it only takes one unnoticed mite to turn into hundreds.

Follow the directions, make sure you give the enclosure pleeenty of time to air out afterwards and perferably, keep the snake(s) and other animals out of the room of the enclosure you are PAMing.

That stuff is strong for a reason, so you wanna protect all creatures, including yourself, from breathing too much of it. =)
