    Bad rock wall?

im building a rock wall for starry. but the grout is crumbly, is there something wrong? its got too coats, i thought after the second coat it would maybe harden bu its not, when i apply pressure it just crumbles like dry moistened sand only a bit firmer.

    Re: Bad rock wall?

I made a rock wall for my boa, Floyd, but I didn't use grout. That would have been too heavy for the size I needed. Instead I used wire, styrofoam, and drywall mud (joint compound). Then I covered it with paint to resemble stone with a few coats of poly for waterproofing. Here's a link with more description......

Good luck with your project, and don't forget to post pics!
