    Introducing our new cresties!

OK - here they are, our tailless wonders! Both came from the same breeder, but one was purchased at the show (Poindexter) and one we got on a silent auction (Uncle Cracker - named for Jamie's spiked hair! LOL)

    Poindexter:

    Uncle Cracker:

What color pattern would they be considered?

congrats! the first is an orange and creme partial pinstripe tiger flame (looks like it has a few dalmation spots too). the second is a brown and orange dalmation flame.

i especially like the first one--very nice choice!

OK, I get the orange and creme part, and the tiger part. Explain the partial pinstripe and flame part on the first one.

I guess the flame part would then be explained for the second one!

Love these little buggers - but we can't find them in McCastle! LOL

the flame is highlighted below in blue/green and the pinstriping in pink:

a flame (also referred to as a fire) generally has a lighter colored dorsal area than the rest of its body. pinstriping is usually cream in color and is a row of elongated scales that runs along each side of the dorsal area--it is like a continuation of the crests down the gecko's back. obviously, partial pinstriping is when the rows do not run completely from the crests to the base of the tail.
