rent rates these days

what are your peoples opinions about the inflated rental rates in the past 3-4 years? do any of you guys remember the time when you were
able to afford to pay an apt. rent on a minimum wage job. What kind of an economy is it where people need to split the costs with a roomie just to get by. outrageous.

Wages havent been rising with the economy, or so i'm told. imo, 5.15 isnt worth squat. if you make less than a gallon of gas these days- or even half, hello!

In my town if i want a 1 bedroom apartment its 1000 dollars... gotta love california. oh yah, and gas is 3.55 a gallon... eeew

We got a 2-bed 1-bath ground floor for $755. Granted, we get a full-size laundry apparatus, but we don't have kids... most of my nice clothes are dry-clean anyway.

Back in Wisconsin (now in WA) I was looking at the same thing only second floor for $435. I'll love it when we get to go home.

I live on the east end of Long Island, New York. The going rate for a one bedroom apartment is around $1,200.00 per month. But I live in a private community and pay $1,400.00 per month plus utilities. It is nice though, always peaceful and quiet. Just my

here its a full basement, 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath and a 1 car attatched garage duplex for $625 a month!

did i mention that the temperature range at my house is from 50-90? its worth my 3.50 in gas... i think? in one more year when im out of college im gettin out of cali though. this place is a joke.
