    Yet more Crestie Questions

I had little Sprocket out last night for a bit of handling and cage tidying up. He sort of squeeked at me? Do cresties squeek? Did I hurt or upset him? He seemed his normal self afterwards...bopping madly around being a goofy gecko and all that. Checked him this morning and he seems fine and even snarfed down his worms overnight.

I didn't know cresties even made any audible noise. Geesh, hope he doesn't start barking at the postman now LOL.

Cresties squeak when they're surprised or just randomly too. They make a few different noises but mine occasionaly squeak at night too. They quite often do this when in conact with another gecko (when breeding, etc.)

I have heard squeaks, clicks, barking and a few other vocalisations.

Ack barking! I was just joking about the barking! LMAO Now I have visuals of my dog lazing about while the crestie runs to the door to bark at strangers passing by. Wonder if they make a "Home Protected by Attack Crestie" sign? Hmmm t-shirts with "My Rhac is bigger than yours!" (oh I'm bad! LOL)

juvies do squeak and make cute noises if they are alarmed for some reason. adults bark mostly as a mating or territorial expression--it's not exactly what i'd describe as a barking sound, but that's what it's called. a few of mine also make a very quiet whistling noise when i have them out if i am doing something they don't really like--feeling for eggs in their belly, getting some shed off a toe or something like that. oh and occassionally a female will squeal in response to advances from a male.
