    Themes

Am I missing something somewhere, or is maybe my computer wacky???

I set my theme to the Corona, and then in trying to send messages, I don't have any font color or style changes options, and when trying to use the smilies, pulling down the box, the message is screened thru the emoticons.

Huh? Maybe because of the firewall here at work??? But the default and the earthtastic that I'm currently using seem to be all right.

    Any suggestions or ideas?

I'd much rather use the Corona style. I like it

    THANKS SOOOOO MUCH!

    Re: Themes

It's acting strangely for me, as well. All the rest of the themes tested fine. I was using IE when it was not working. I tried to test it in Firefox, but for whatever reason, it would not allow me to switch themes away from the typical Seascape I usually use...even when I changed my default to Corona. Weirdness.

I'm off on a plane to FL in a few hours, so I'll flag this one for Smulkin's attention. Thanks for letting us know!

Windows 2000 Professional v 6.0.2800 yadda yadda....It's while I'm here at work, and since I have NO say whatsoever as to OS for these PCs, I have to make due & then just let someone else know when things go flop-bot.

If it's the OS being incompatible (or the firewalls) then I'll stay with the default....no biggee. I just wanted a switch.

YW, Judy. Thx for taking a look-see

    Re: Themes

do you think you could take a screen shot? just get the screen where it's acting funky, and press the "print screen" button on your keyboard...usually above the insert/delete/hom/end/page up/page down button. I usually open Photoshop, create a new document (photoshop will create the new document at the size of your screen resolution) and then just paste it in, and crop it down.

by browser, i mean Internet Explorer, FireFox, Safari, etc.

Web site's are starting to act really funny in Internet Explorer now for a number of reasons...I got sick of dealing with IE so now i'm using FireFox and I think FireFox is much better. I browse bp.net with FireFox and havn't had any theme problems.

    Re: Themes

I think this only affects you if you have chosen the Enhanced Interface for editing options.

We could turn enhanced off until I can dig into it and get it sorted out. In the meantime You can chose one of the other two options and everything else will display correctly. UserCP > Edit Options > Misc Options (botom of page) > Message Editor Interface

(EDIT: I'll leave this option on a while longer so I can get some more extensive feedback. With the WYSIWYG editor turned on i see the dropdown boxes opening in the upper left corner in Firefox - and I do indeed see Corona misbehaving with it in a fugly manner where the other themes seem to have less of an issue.)

    Re: Themes

It was IE w/the WYSIWYG editor. Now I'm in default, but the config for the text editor & emoticons are arranged differently.

I'll try later tonight w/the Corona again and see if it happens so I can do a screen dump and attach it to a message to Smulkin.
