    New Baby, soon... ;)

I posted this in another thread, but I figured I would get more views if I started my own...

I went to the All Ohio Reptile Show today to give Jeanne her new babies. They are now on their way to Cleveland, and hope you like them, Jeanne!

As for myself... I never should have gone into the show. Told myself I would just look. Uh huh, right.

I did look for awhile. I saw my first axanthic BPs... there was a guy who was selling a couple babies and a juvie. Those little guys are cool! And now I want one of them, lol! There were lots and lots of babies of everything... and yes, I stared at the Hampers' crested geckos for awhile.

There was also a woman there selling Cook's Tree Boas. She had a very nice female---big girl, around 5 ft.---very pretty brown pattern. I've been thinking about getting one for an arboreal display and talked to the woman about a set-up, if the thirty gallon I had would work, temps needed, feeding, etc. I got the boa out and handled it (with gloves, of course... fiesty little buggers!). I fell in love. I loved her attitude, how pretty she was, everything! Turns out, the breeder lives here in Columbus, so, since I'm moving this weekend, I asked if I could put half down and pick the snake up on Monday after I got everything set up. Not a problem... so I've gotta new baby coming on Monday A very snippy, bitey baby, but still, lol. I guess you can say I traded two cresties for a tree boa

P.S. Been looking up names. I'm going to call her Zanita, which means 'long teeth' from the Greek language.

Congrats on the find. Sounds like you're excited.

BTW, I like your website, except for one thing, even though you go to Ohio State, how do we get you to change your favorite colors to blue and maize? . Go Blue.
Good luck with your final semester.

    Re: New Baby, soon... ;)

Just brought Zani home... She didn't even bite me when I got her out of the bag (though I was very careful handling her and still wore a thin glove). She's currently resting on the uppermost branch in her enclosure. I forgot my camera or I'd get pics for ya'll!!! Anyway, she's absolutely gorgeous!

For those of you who are close enough to go the Ohio Show, I'd like to give a shout-out to Zani's breeder. I dealt with the daughter, Brittany (as soon as I remember her last name, I'll post it). They always have a table near the front... walk in, turn right, they're the second table on the left. They mostly sell colubrids: milksnakes, corns, rats, gophers, etc. Their stock always looks top notch. Also, they were more than willing to work with me in that, I paid them half the money on Saturday for Zani, and they held her until today when I got my stuff moved and had time to get her set-up ready to go. They gave me their address and phone number, I gave them a call, picked her up, no problems! Excellent customer service. So, if you get to the show and are interested in an ATB or colubrid, check them out!
