Just not dark brown or red then - my rats NEVER eat anything that color for some reason.
They must know something the FD&C doesn't.
Cheerio color would be ideal in that case!

Hrm that is a good point, I noticed some of my rats were picky about tricolor pasta that included red.
Though, if i paint everything that color maybe I can stop them from eating 1000lbs of food a month
