Always wondered.
I know it is definately (sp?) not okay to house snakes together, but what about handling them together? I never handle mine together, but I guess it's because I was afraid they might snap at each other.

Re: Always wondered.
I know I've handled my BP and JCP together. Some people will probalby disagree with me, but as long as they are supervised, I don't see where it would be a problem. I've seen pictures posted here with multiple snakes together.

Hmmm, never thought of that. I never handle them togather, and after I handle one I wash my hands before the other. I wonder how a Boa and a Python would fair together.

Re: Always wondered.
I would worry about the pass of disease(sp?). A python from africa may have some sort of disease that they are naturally imune to because of exposure over many generations while the python from Australia wouldn't be used to it there for possibly getting sick. I'm always on the better safe than sorry side....This probably isn't a likely senario but you never know

But my pythons are both balls?
Also this would be after the 45 day quarentine(sp?).

Re: Always wondered.
Well....we often see people taking pictures of groups of BP's or boas or whatever. General consensus seems to be that having them together for brief handling sessions is not a problem. (Given, of course, that all quarantine measures have been met and exceeded.)

Re: Always wondered.
I see no problem with it at all......Sometimes, I let all my BPs go for a swim in the tub together. However, I never let my boa "play" with my BPs out of fear of Bonnie passing the dreaded (IBD??) virus to them, or the fact that Bonnie may cannibalize them....she's a lot bigger.
