No, my mate would say
I'm 100% homogenous for that
but he's slithered off
because that how things are

the days are the same
wake up and complain
at the sun
too early is his alarm

then comes that
wretched moon
her luscious rays
beckoning me out to prove

but I am afraid
afraid of failure and
dejection
it's work
too much to do and
yet my task list is
too short
live or die?
be swallowed up?
or simply melt away?

we slither on
afraid of tomorrow
regretting yesterday
if only we could forget it
waiting for our perfect mate
to be dropped in front of us
reduced and blushing
before our divine reality
