    Over soaking?

Is there such a thing? Halen has 3 hides, and I have her temps right, but she loves the stay in her waterbowl. Should I leave it, or leave it for her once in awhile?

does she have mites? is she ready to shed? If she just likes soaking I would let her!

If your husbandry is spot on as you say and she has no mites, then I probabaly would not worry too much about it. If your hides are not snug enough, she may be using the water bowl as a secure hiding spot. I would personally leave the water bowl in there cause you never know when she may wanna take a sip out of it and it's better to stay safe than worry about your snake getting dehydrated.

No mites. Shes got nice and snug hides. Never seen any mites floating in her water. She stays in the for awhile, then goes to one of her hides for a few hours. Maybe she just enjoys her bowl then ... I'll still keep an eye on her though.

Naw, her humidity is perfect and shes 18-20 inches long and she ate 2 hoppers on sunday so I dont think that would be too big of a meal.

    Re: Over soaking?

You could always change out her water bowl for something that she can't fit into with so much comfort. Maybe that will encourage her to stop sitting around soaking her silly self LOL. None of our BP's is ever in their water bowl other than to have a drink or slither through on the way from one hide to the other.
