    Cyprus Mulch as substrate

Is anyone using the stuff you can get from HD or lowes. I am worried about it containing bugs. Any of you use this stuff and what do you do to disinfect it

    thanks

i use cypress mulch. i spray it down with prevent o mite that kills all the little stow aways in it if there are any. i swear by the stuff makes cleanup easy. if you spot clean you will only have to change it out rarely.

    Re: Cyprus Mulch as substrate

I use peat moss for one of my cages...it does clean up nice, and really helps keep the humidity stable. The only drawback is that I am constantly changing the water bowl to keep the water fresh and clean...the BP gets little particles of substrate in it all the time.
