    Feeding Response

Okay, so I feed my BP f/t. For the past few years, I just have been dropping the rat in, and Tilly would come out of her hide anywhere from straight away to eating it while I'm asleep overnight. Well my questions is just this, its 3:30 am in the morning right now (school work), and I just want to know if it is OK for Tilly to act like he does. I put the mouse in about 11 pm, and just now, about over 4 hours later, he comes out and doesn't even strike at all. He just lumbers out, and slowly starts to eat it? Is that perfectly ok that he has lost all hostility?

    Re: Feeding Response

It's perfectly normal behavior. However, that doesn't mean that he's not still a wild animal that could bite if provoked. Just because he's "lazy" eating a rat that's already dead doesn't mean I would get lax about handling him with rodent smell on my hands or something like that.
