Morphs percentages
Ok so I'm getting a pair of het albinos and I know that when I breed them the chance to get an albino is 25%. Does that mean I am absolutely going to get one albino if I only had 4 eggs? Would it be possible to have 4 eggs and none of those be albinos? What are your experiences with small clutches and hets breeding.

Re: Morphs percentages
What it means is that EACH EGG has a 25% chance of hatching as an albino. You are not guaranteed one albino out of every four eggs.
EDIT: In other words, it's possible to have a whole clutch of eggs that turn out to look normal (they'll all be possible hets for albino)...and it's theoretically possible to hatch out all albinos.

I've had 12 eggs from Pastel x Normal yield no pastels and 11 eggs from Lesser x Normal yield nine lessers.
4 eggs from het albino x het albino give me 3 albinos and 7 eggs from het hypo x het hypo give me 1 hypo.
It's all up to the ball gods ... there are no guarantees.

Nope, I had 7 eggs two years ago and 9 the year before that from albino hets
and got 00000 albinos. Its all a roll of the dice.

Any chance in your mind that they are not hets?

Well I guess I better start praying. I hope I get lucky. I'll also make sure my female is as large and healthy as possilble.

That smells funny. Were the parents 100% hets (i.e. proven possible hets or offspring from albino x normal)? Where did you get you "hets" from?

I gave them to my brother and the next year he got two that year. And 1 the year after.
My luck!

I would be calling the guy that sold them to me.
The odds of missing a homozygous animal in a het to het breeding with 16 eggs total is .... 1 in 100 ... possible, but not likely.
