    Is he dehydrated?

I was picking up some feeders for my babies and the shop had a ball in an aquarium without water I had to get him out because he is so cute. Well, he hasn't had his first shed (there are yolk marks on him) and as he was on my hand, I noticed that scales where snagging alot and as I looked closer, I noticed that his scales were vary loose and lifted very easily. Is this because he is dehydrated?

I wanted to just buy him and take him home but the boss says that I have to find a home for the other pet shop rescue before I can rescue this little guy So if anyone is interested in a 23 inch female that is as healthy as a horse...just let me know

    Re: Is he dehydrated?

Dehydration is usually apparent when the skin does not have it's normal elasticity. You will sometimes see wrinkles in the skin, but I don't think you can tell by the scales themselves.

I would complain to the store that they need to provide water. It's a basic necessity for all living animals, and it's readily available from the tap!!
