    Turning on lights

It's been a while since I've posted, so I'm not sure if this is in the right place. Anyways, when I go to bed, my room is pitch black (pretty much), so I've got to turn on the light. Does this hurt their eyes at all, like if you walk outside from the movie theater? If it is, is there any type of light that they can't see that would make it less stressful on them, like infrared or something? Thanks.

i used to use red a blue bulbs for my snakes. it was pretty cool lookin but they sucked all the humidity out. you could just cover the viv with a shirt or towel or something at night when your in your room.

The red bulbs actually help produce nice humidity for my kids. I like the ambience of their light at night when I'm going to bed.
