    introducing... drake!

well he's here!!! resting comfortably in his new viv which is sooo much bigger than he had at the breeders (little shoe box) so i bet he'll be a happy boy!!!

    and... here's the pics!

i'm so thrilled with him. there were two males (the rest were females) and the other one was younger and smaller but it had more black speckling on it... and the colour wasn't as defined as drake. also, when i got there and henry (the breeder) first reached and opened his box... drake told me his name and started chatting in my head... whereas the other little guy was very quiet and didn't say much. i think the other one would be a wonderful pet - very good eater and very very sweet... but drake... well he has so much personality and he was soooo relaxed and curious... i just knew he'd be a handful... and a handful felt soooo right

henry said that drake often needs to be left alone to eat... he's more finicky than the other one... but henry was very open to me choosing for myself cause there was a big difference in looks and size for the two males... and i chose the nicer specimen of the two

when i was holding him at the breeders... their huge dogs came in and there was so much ruckus and commotion going on and they were so calm thru it all (and they are not held much at all henry said) so i figured he'll do great here...

i slept maybe 3 hours last night... i was just waaaay too excited about going to get him today...

and man oh man... he was soooo worth the lack of sleep!!!!!

oh i forgot to show this off (can you tell i soooo want to hold him so i'm looking at his photos over and over again instead LOL) - look at that gorgeous stripe on his head... ahhhhhhh kinda like flames on a fast car LOL

just can't believe he fit in this little tiny cup! the box we brought with us... henry said, "oh he'll definitely get out of that... here, we'll put him in this" and i said, "he'll fit in that???" and henry said, "yup, no problem"

    hahahaha and he did!
